Finally! My Peacock Butterfly video

At last, I have uploaded the video I made of the Peacock Butterflies I reared last summer. It's probably a bit long but I had so much good stuff to put in it I couldn't help myself.

First sightings of 2015!

We went for a lovely walk in the local woods today and saw some butterflies. Unfortunately no photo opportunities but it's early days yet!! I was quite surprised to see so many different species, they were the usual suspects for this time of year:

Brimstone, Red Admiral, Orange Tip, Peacock and a Holly Blue (smaller than I imagined).

I can't wait to study/rear some different species this year.

Round Three - Day Two Hundred and Fifty Three - Update

I decided to release the pupa near where ragwort was growing last year, as that is where they would have been naturally. I will never know now what happens!
